Filter queries make CRM relevant to individual users: Your sales personnel, branch
offices, product line managers and sales and marketing management have different
needs and audiences. CorpComContact was designed to make both the use and creation
of filters accessable to non-technical users.
Selection statements may use combinations of fields and criteria. For example, select
all records:
- Entered after November 30, 2005
- Located in California
- Employee size over 100
- Category is not “retail” or “banking”
- Status is “active” and Market is “local”
A query to fit these requirements is built one line at a time using a point-and-click
wizard designed for everyday users. In many systems, creation of such multi-field,
multi-variable query statements requires a programmer or database administrator.
CorpComContact’s online help is loaded with query building tips, and opens with
just a click, ready-to-read right next to the query engine window.
Once named and created, a filter may be stored for repetitive use to select collections
of names for:
- Screen listings
- Email broadcast
- Fax broadcast
- Export to Excel or Outlook
- Paper based reports
- Phone book style listing
- Compete contact detail listing
- Counts by category or other fields
- Export to an Action List
Filters may be modified and deleted to meet new business requirements.
